Dedicated to the memory of John White

Come with me

God saw he was getting tired
And a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around him
And whispered, "Come with me."

With tearful eyes we watched him suffer
And saw him fade away.
Although we loved him dearly,
We could not make him stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard-working hands to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us

He only takes the best.

We lost Dad on 12th July 2021, after a short but vicious illness. Dad was diagnosed with stage 4 Lung Cancer in March 2021, which we then discovered had spread to his brain after a massive brain seizure on Saturday 24th April. The following weeks were so incredibly tough, and poor dad was so tremendously brave and strong, despite such debilitating complications.
He was a real character, and made friends where ever he went. Our family home was filled with so much love and laughter, and that was from dad, and mum, who built such a beautiful family unit together. He was so very loved by family and friends. Such a monumental loss for us all.
The hospice gave dad and us support and comfort at such a dark point and we would like any donations in honour of dad's life to go allow them to keep giving their patients the support they deserve.
